OH-HI-YO
I am judge-y about some states. Ohio is one of the states I’m judge-y about. (Sorry to my girl, Cindy) I mean, it really doesn’t make sense—some of my favorite people hail from Ohio. But, I’ve had this idea of what Ohio means, how it works, how exciting it is etc. etc. etc. —just was not high on my list of top places for this year.
Still…one of the coolest things about this whole experience is catching up with people we haven’t had the chance to catch up with for a long time…due to time, life circumstances, more recently—Covid. Anyways, for that reason, we decided to take a few days and stop in Cleveland, OH and visit with my cousin, Prakash and his wife, Rachel and their two girls.
Sooooo, here’s the thing— I fully expected to enjoy their company and have a great time with them, cause they are just the coolest. What I DIDN’T expect was to LOVE Cleveland…
Adorable neighborhood with mature trees
Even better, a neighborhood-built wooden community park maintained by the community. (Seriously, we could all use a little reminder of communities that work on things together)
Cleveland Art Museum (free) and one of the best art museums we have been.
Public art everywhere
Just a Cleveland vibe (also, I think this is largely due to our excellent hosts and their recommendations).
